Seems like I’ve long forgotten about this, doubt anyone would even bother to check, but you never know so here goes. Long enough sentence to start me off, eh? Even if I don’t get around to posting all that much I’m going to at least try and get some pictures on here. It’s not like I really use facebook enough or anything else for that matter.
I’m surprised that the iphone hasn’t ruined my typing skills, I might be a little slower, but I still don’t need to look at the keyboard and it doesn’t seem like I’m going too slow or relying on what the iphone would do with spellcheck/period ending my sentences. Gonna have to take a typing test to see how fast I am now, it’ll be interesting to see since it’s been so long since I’ve used a computer for anything.
So last week, maybe? Anyway, we finally got the carpet installed in the basement so we’ve been moving everything down here. Besides baby toys that aren’t used anymore and stuffed animals, pretty much everything has been moved. I do have to move the puzzles and board games, but that won’t be till we get a shelve thing for the closet. We have my computer down here, along with all the other computer stuff. Only Scott’s iMac is left upstairs and if need be we can use the laptop up there. It’s odd having it be a regular living room, no toys, looks a lot different. We also put a tv down here, with the PS2. The tv is hooked up to the computer so we can watch netflix and other online video, it’s nice since we haven’t moved the second box down here. Still have to get a couch, but that should be happening within the next few days. Biggest plus is that it’s nice and cool down here so no need for the ac which I would be wanting on if we were upstairs.
As for the kids, Alex is being really difficult lately. Some days she’ll be good, others she has to be mouthy and rude all the time. We’re at a lose of what to do about it, but now that the toys are all down here it’s easy to cut them off if we need to. Scott Daniel is becoming a total boy, he loves playing with trucks and of course electronics. He loves dancing, I’ve been meaning to get a video of it since it’s rather funny.
Not sure if there’s anything else to add, but if so it’s good to keep a bit for later on, right? Maybe I can get Scott into a posting war, I know he wants to start posting more, but doesn’t want to talk about work stuff all the time. I’m sure he could figure something out, he usually wins since I forget to post or don’t have anything to say after awhile. I also know that a few have complained that he hasn’t been posting enough.

For once in a long time it seems, I’m going to be making a post without pictures. I can’t really say that things have been busy. It’s just that I’ve been doing other things instead. I’m still trying to finish reading the Harry Potter series before I see the movie.
Last week my mom was here for a few days. She got to spend a good amount of time with both kids though I’m sure she would have loved more and watched Alex do karate twice. She went home last Tuesday. It was pretty nice while she was here although a little cooler than the 80-90s that are the norm in Fl.
Wednesday Alex had a dentist appointment. She had to get a few cavities filled. Wasn’t too much fun for her but she was a big girl while it was being done. I was surprised that she was so good during it.
Yesterday and today we went to a few tag sales. For the most part it was stuff for the kids. Some clothes for SJ, most of which will be fall/winter items. We saw a walker at one and ended up getting it but at a later one saw an exersaucer and got that so the walker probably won’t be used. Alex got a few games herself.. don’t break the ice and silly 6 pin. She also got a Barbie plane.
For ourselves there were only a few things. Seems like most tag sales are overrun with kid items, not that it’s a problem. I got 2 PS2 games, I know it’s an older system but we have it so why not use it? The last one we went to today was down the road a mile and they were really nice. We got a treadmill there and a baby carrier. I figure we can use the carrier to go caching since strollers don’t work well.
For the first time this summer, we’ve put the ac in the window. It was only on for about 3-4 hours. I don’t think it’ll be needed tomorrow but I haven’t checked to see what the temp will be.
I think that’s about all that’s been going on lately. I posted a few pictures earlier today. So look at the next post as well.

The has continue on and on since the last post I made about it raining everyday. Today it didn’t start till 7pm. Right when Scott was about to go out and mow the front yard.. he lucked out, huh? I looked on Accuweather to see when it’s suppose to stop raining and there’s a chance of rain everyday until July 4th. Which will probably change and be raining everyday and past then. It’s neverending it seems.
Today we went out to Target to get out of the house for a little bit and pick up a few things. We saw a good deal on a Tag system and got one for Alex for her birthday or Christmas plus two books since a few were on sale too. I like getting her things that she can learn with instead of just fun toys. She still plays her Clickstart system several times a week if not more. We’ve been trying to get mainly neutral things so SJ can use them when he gets old enough. She has a princess game and we got her a little mermaid book, so a few girlie ones too.
Scott took Alex to karate this morning, she did well and got a big sticker. Like last Saturday, they sparred the second half of class. It’s funny to watch them, some go after the flags right away and others mainly block the whole time. Alex is mainly a blocker, but recently started going after the flags too. No clue about this week, but last week she got 3 flags.
Not much else is going on Scott is watching the baseball game on tv and SJ has been watching it for the most part too. He also watched the game the other night with Scott when he had it on his phone. In Scott’s opinion it means he’s definitely a Yankees’ fan. I’m sure he will be seeing as everyone else in the family is and he has at least 1 Yankees article of clothing from now until Alex’s age or so. I need to go and feed him, he’s used to getting feed right after Alex is in bed which is happening in a few minutes so he’s starting to get fussy with Scott.

It seems like it’s been raining or just rather muggy feeling for awhile now. And I can’t wait for it to stop. Besides feeling sticky outside, it feels that way inside when we have the windows open, which is needed on the hotter days like today. Tomorrow it’s suppose to be 70 and partly sunny, we’ll see if that actually happens.
Father’s Day is Sunday and I have no clue what to do. I got Scott one thing and will probably renew his magazine subscription that I got him last year. I was trying to get Alex to make something homemade but she wasn’t into it.. maybe Sunday while Scott’s working she’ll be more willing to do something.
This weekend is free previews for the movie channels on Direct TV so I set up a ton of movies to record that I had been wanting to see or was curious about. The Dark Knight and X-Files are the two that I really want to see. There was a few for Alex to are going to record and some that Scott should like, but he can be picky about movies sometimes. It seems like they do these every other month or so which is about how often that they change the movies anyway so it works out perfectly.
Today I was trying to do the impossible, I think I got through a little bit, maybe.. possibly, kinda? I was trying to explain to Alex that she needs to start getting in the habit of picking up her toys and putting them away since when SJ starts crawling they’ll get taking away if the small ones are out. She spent a few hours in her room cleaning, well, playing really, but I she did a little bit of cleaning too. I picked up the rest.. hopefully it’ll last this time. I’ll just have to keep on her more than I was doing. She’ll be 5 soon and wants to be a big girl, so she’s big enough to start putting her things away. It’s hard to reason with a 4 year old, but I hope she understand the logic somewhat. There’s only a few months to get it through to her before he starts crawling all over the place.
I’ve been slow going on re-reading the Harry Potter series. Too many things to do during the day to spend too much time reading. I just finished the first book last night and barely got any on the second one today. I’d like to at least get through book five maybe six before seeing the movie. I don’t see myself reading all seven unless I spend all my free time reading. Which, though I wouldn’t mind doing so, the house would be a complete mess. Right now I could be reading, but instead I decided to post since I don’t do much of it anymore and when I do it’s never on the computer like I’m doing now. I should have just skipped the first two books since the movies are so close to the story anyway.. you can’t really differ from the book too much when it’s only 300 pages, ya know?
Since it seems like I’m the only one that posts pictures, I really should start taking more to post or at least go through the camera and post some of the older pictures that I took. I’m sure everyone minus Scott and myself notice the little changes in SJ. If I could find a neutral picture of Alex as a baby I would post it as a comparison since I think he looks just like her and several people agree with me. It’d be too easy to tell them apart if she’s in girly clothes though of course he’d have to be in a neutral outfit too. I doubt I’ll find pictures like that though so I might just post obvious ones.
Anyway, I’ve been going on forever I need to do a few more things. Mainly get the laundry out of the dryer since her karate uniform is in there and she’s going to class in the morning. Oh just because this is funny and irks Scott a little, I’ll mention it. I got Alex a Harry Potter shirt a few weeks ago at the SA, Thursday I told her to pick out a shirt to wear for karate and guess what she picked? He thought I put her up to it, but I had nothing to do with it.

Today I was finally able to catch Scott smiling/laughing. It was the end of smile so his mouth is open wide. I wasn’t able to get another but not for my lack of trying.
I spent most of the day cleaning up to keep my mind off things and because it was needed. Alex spent most of her night cleaning up her room. She did pretty good but I had to go help her a little bit.
Karate just now started testing kids for their yellow belt. So far two of them have gotten theirs. One on Saturday and another today. I’m not sure if they’ll be testing Alex anytime soon. They don’t tell you when they’re doing it till the day of. I’m sure soon she’ll start talking about getting hers.
That’s about all the exciting news going on. Well unless changing a diaper can me considered exciting. I guess it would be if it was a big explosion all over the place but that has yet to happen.
