It seems like it’s been raining or just rather muggy feeling for awhile now. And I can’t wait for it to stop. Besides feeling sticky outside, it feels that way inside when we have the windows open, which is needed on the hotter days like today. Tomorrow it’s suppose to be 70 and partly sunny, we’ll see if that actually happens.
Father’s Day is Sunday and I have no clue what to do. I got Scott one thing and will probably renew his magazine subscription that I got him last year. I was trying to get Alex to make something homemade but she wasn’t into it.. maybe Sunday while Scott’s working she’ll be more willing to do something.
This weekend is free previews for the movie channels on Direct TV so I set up a ton of movies to record that I had been wanting to see or was curious about. The Dark Knight and X-Files are the two that I really want to see. There was a few for Alex to are going to record and some that Scott should like, but he can be picky about movies sometimes. It seems like they do these every other month or so which is about how often that they change the movies anyway so it works out perfectly.
Today I was trying to do the impossible, I think I got through a little bit, maybe.. possibly, kinda? I was trying to explain to Alex that she needs to start getting in the habit of picking up her toys and putting them away since when SJ starts crawling they’ll get taking away if the small ones are out. She spent a few hours in her room cleaning, well, playing really, but I she did a little bit of cleaning too. I picked up the rest.. hopefully it’ll last this time. I’ll just have to keep on her more than I was doing. She’ll be 5 soon and wants to be a big girl, so she’s big enough to start putting her things away. It’s hard to reason with a 4 year old, but I hope she understand the logic somewhat. There’s only a few months to get it through to her before he starts crawling all over the place.
I’ve been slow going on re-reading the Harry Potter series. Too many things to do during the day to spend too much time reading. I just finished the first book last night and barely got any on the second one today. I’d like to at least get through book five maybe six before seeing the movie. I don’t see myself reading all seven unless I spend all my free time reading. Which, though I wouldn’t mind doing so, the house would be a complete mess. Right now I could be reading, but instead I decided to post since I don’t do much of it anymore and when I do it’s never on the computer like I’m doing now. I should have just skipped the first two books since the movies are so close to the story anyway.. you can’t really differ from the book too much when it’s only 300 pages, ya know?
Since it seems like I’m the only one that posts pictures, I really should start taking more to post or at least go through the camera and post some of the older pictures that I took. I’m sure everyone minus Scott and myself notice the little changes in SJ. If I could find a neutral picture of Alex as a baby I would post it as a comparison since I think he looks just like her and several people agree with me. It’d be too easy to tell them apart if she’s in girly clothes though of course he’d have to be in a neutral outfit too. I doubt I’ll find pictures like that though so I might just post obvious ones.
Anyway, I’ve been going on forever I need to do a few more things. Mainly get the laundry out of the dryer since her karate uniform is in there and she’s going to class in the morning. Oh just because this is funny and irks Scott a little, I’ll mention it. I got Alex a Harry Potter shirt a few weeks ago at the SA, Thursday I told her to pick out a shirt to wear for karate and guess what she picked? He thought I put her up to it, but I had nothing to do with it.

Days have been going by fast that I don’t even think about posting. For a short time any spare time I had I spent reading the Twilight saga. I just recently finished them so I’m starting to use the computer a little more.
Life is pretty stressful at the moment. Not really much I can control, but annoying nonetheless. Luckily everyone is healthy and the kids are growing.
The past few days it’s been wicked hot. I can’t wait for it to be over with. It’s no where near what it was in Fl because of the humidity, but it’s bad enough for here and what I’ve been used to the past few years.
I have a few pictures I’ll try to post later on plus some that have been on the camera for a few weeks.
Scott’s been smiling a lot more but of course never when we try so I haven’t gotten a picture of that yet. Last night he tried to do a little laugh when he was smiling. It was cute and I can’t wait for him to do a real one.
Alex got her hair cut a few days ago. I took off about 3 inches. Trying to get off all the broken hair without making it too short. I was able to get most of it so it looks a lot better now. Her karate expanded and they’ve been using a small room for the little kids half the time. I don’t care for it since it’s too small and they get distracted by looking at the parents and siblings.

Last night I ended up going through two of the bags of baby clothes. There were maybe 10 or so neutral outfits and I trashed 2 bags full of stained clothes. One of the space saver bags that was full of clothes had a whole in it so the bottom half were completely soaked and stained from that. I’ll have to wash them all sometime in the near future.
While I was doing that I listened to American Idol, from the looks of it so far, I don’t think I’ll be into it much this year. There hasn’t been anyone I like a lot or that I think is really good.
Today was incredibly exciting, I woke up at 8, ate, and then went back to bed at 10:30 till 1:30. Do you envy me? It’s just barely 9:30 now and I could already go back to bed for the night. This baby is just draining everything from me constantly and it sucks. There’s tons of things I need to do, but just don’t have the energy to do any of them.

I won’t give away any spoilers, but I wanted to say that I finished the book today. It took longer than I expected since we were at the zoo all day yesterday and I was sick all day today. As a whole, I liked the book, but I didn’t care for the ending.. that could have been better. I feel rather empty.. there should have been more, explained more. I’m hoping for something to come up in interviews or JK Rowlings site. Anything! I’m going to resort to fan fiction if I don’t get closure.
I was only really sad at one part in the book. I won’t say which, but it was when someone died. They messed up with the movies.. leaving some things out that really should have been in them. In a few areas they’re going to have trouble.
I still haven’t seen the movie.. I was hoping to see it yesterday or today, but I ended up being sick.. so I guess I’ll wait till next weekend and try to go then.

For the past 4 days, I’ve been completely addicted to World of Warcraft (WoW). I have 3 chars at the moment. One is a level 2 (first one), level 9 (second one), and level 16 (newest one). I’ve already made a few friends and done tons of group quests. I haven’t joined a guild yet, I’ll wait till I’m a little more into the game for that. I know someone I know has to play this.. I remember someone telling me about it, but for the life of me I have no clue who it was. So if you play, leave me a message!
Besides WoW, I haven’t been doing much of anything. We had a mini heat wave.. 2 days in the 90’s. It wasn’t fun, but now it’s over and we’re back to the mid-70’s. Soon I’m going to start re-reading all the Harry Potter books.. hopefully I can time it right so I can finish just before the new one gets here. I’ll probably start within the next week. I still have 3 other books left to read.
Alex has learned to open doors since we’ve moved in our house. Till this last week she was overlooking her closet.. but then she learned that she can open that one too. So she keeps going in there and getting all of her puzzles and playdoh out. Luckily she can’t open playdoh so that isn’t all over the place, but the puzzle pieces are. We’re going to put a chain on the door this weekend so she can’t get in there.
That’s about all I have to say for now. I need to start picking up the huge toy mess that Alex created today.
